[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Finally, the so-awaited updated list has been released by <\/span>MIGRATION SA<\/span><\/a> this morning, and 500 occupations are now open for applications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to our RMAs, there are some changes in the Skilled Occupation requirements for the last financial year. If you want to know which are the key changes, continue reading.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, the new requirements to apply for a nomination from the South Australian government are tougher than last year. Nonetheless, 500 occupations are available for onshore and offshore invitations as well as an option for those living “interstate or overseas” for some occupations.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Long-Term Resident | From 3 to 5 years<\/b><\/h4>\n

If you don’t qualify for SA Graduate, Working in SA or other streams, you could be eligible for the <\/span>Long Term Resident<\/span><\/a> stream.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last financial year, anyone living in South Australia for the last three (3) years was considered a long-term resident. Nonetheless, to be eligible for this stream in the 2022\/23 program, temporary residents must be continuously residing in South Australia for the last five (5) years. Please note: that more eligibility requirements apply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accountant (General) ANZCO 221111 | 491 Visa<\/b><\/h4>\n

If you have been working in ANY skilled 1, 2, 3 or 4 occupation for 6 to 12 months while residing in SA as a long-term resident, you could be eligible for a <\/span>Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa<\/span><\/a> which leads you to a permanent migration path. Please note: more eligibility requirements apply.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Registered Nurses (nec) ANZCO 254499 | 190\/491 Visas<\/b><\/h4>\n

SA Graduates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in nursing could request an SA Nomination if working from at least 3 to 6 months in the nominated or related occupation anywhere in SA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The good news is that there’s also a path for those High Performing Graduates who could receive a nomination without previous work experience but with a current contract. Please note: that more eligibility requirements apply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Registered Nurses who do not comply with the SA Graduate requirement also have a path for temporary and permanent migration through SA nomination. <\/span>GET IN TOUCH<\/span><\/a> to explore this path.<\/span><\/p>\n

ICT Business Analyst ANZCO 261111 | 190\/491 Visas<\/b><\/h4>\n

SA Graduates with bachelor’s degrees or higher qualifications (such as Master of Business Information Systems) could request an SA Nomination if they have been working for the last 6 months in the nominated or related occupation in SA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The good news is that after 3 months of work in SA you could already be eligible for a Provisional subclass 491 visa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cook ANZCO 351411 | 491 Visa<\/b><\/h4>\n

If you have completed a Certificate course of Cookery in SA and you have been working as a Cook or a related occupation for the last six months in Regional SA, you might be eligible for a 491 Visa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Those who have not completed a Commercial Cookery qualification in Australia but have done it overseas or hold a Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) might still be eligible for a 491 and 190 visa, respectively if complying with other requirements. This path is not as appealing as being an SA Graduate, but it’s still good to know you can have a plan B!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chef ANZCO 351311 | 190\/491 Visas<\/b><\/h4>\n

Opposite to Cooks, the Chefs could be eligible for <\/span>permanent migration<\/span><\/a> upon completion of an eligible Commercial Cookery course and only six months of work in Regional SA (check your postcode <\/span>HERE<\/span><\/a> to see if you are living and working in Regional SA).<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have been living and working for the last year in Greater Adelaide instead, you might be eligible for a 491 Visa, which allows you to remain in Australia for five years with full working rights and the option to apply for a permanent visa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are not working in your occupation or a closely related occupation but have lived continuously in SA for the last five years, you might still be able to apply as a Long-Term resident of SA.<\/span><\/p>\n
