What you will study

The Master of Education is intended for teachers who wish to retrain in an additional teaching area or gain further professional learning. The program consists of a core and fourteen (14) specialisation areas split into Professional Learning and Teacher Retraining. Requirements, intake dates and location

Academic Requirement:

Successful completion of:

  • Bachelor Honours Degree in education/teaching or;
  • 4-year Bachelor Degree in education/teaching or;
  • Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in a relevant field;
  • 3-year Bachelor Degree in education/teaching or a related discipline, plus 2 years’ experience working in a relevant field including:
    • CV outlining relevant work experience in a relevant field; and
    • Statement(s) of Service confirming two years of experience in a relevant field or;
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in education/teaching with significant teaching experience.
    • Significant experience can be identified through:
      • certified copies of all relevant qualifications
      • a detailed CV, and
      • a statement of service or signed letters from employers confirming your role, duties and period of employment.

Applicants should also provide a statement detailing how their professional experience prepares them to undertake postgraduate study.

English Requirement: IELTS score of overall 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 or equivalent

Fee and Scholarship

The 2020 indicative yearly program fee is AUD 33,090 (based on a full-year full-time load of 80 units).
