When you apply for a UK Student Visa from Nepal, you must apply at least six months before requesting admission to a course. 

The types of UK student visas included are:

  1. UK Student Visa – can be applied for once the applicant is 16 years old and above. Furthermore, the applicant is offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor.

Documents and other submissions to apply for a UK Student Visa from Nepal

  • You must prove your identity by providing your fingerprints and a photograph at a visa application centre.
  • Alternatively, scan your identity document by using the ‘UK Immigration: ID Check’ app.
  • The following documents you must provide include:
    • Your valid passport or valid travel documentation
    • A CAS or Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies submitted by your course provider
    • Proof of financial support for you and your course, depending on your circumstances
    • A valid ATAS or Academic Technology Approval Scheme certificate if you intend to study or research at the postgraduate level in especially sensitive subjects.
    • Proof of obtained parental or a legal guardian’s consent if you’re under 18
    • Proof of the relationship between you and your guardian or parent if you’re under 18
    • Provide the test results of your tuberculosis blood report
    • Submit a written consent of your application given by your financial sponsor if you have received sponsorship. This sponsorship is for your course fee and cost of living in the UK for the last 12 months.

Applicants under 18 will need written consent from their legal guardian or both parents (or if they have a single parent). The consent entails the following:

  • Travel to the UK

Meanwhile, your passport will be returned if you have submitted the same as part of your application. In the refusal letter, you may receive instructions if you have the right to an administrative review or an immigration decision appeal.

This depends on the length of your course. Also, if you are 18 years or older and you are studying a degree-level course, you may stay in the UK for up to five years. On the other hand, you may get up to 2 years to stay if you are studying below degree level.
