The Bachelor of Nursing at the Central Queensland University equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills which enables them to become a competent and efficient Registered Nurse (Division 1).

Studying Bachelor of Nursing at the CQUniversity

Bachelor of Nursing at CQUniversity is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). A Bachelor of Nursing graduate is eligible for registration as a Division-1 Nurse in Australia. The University offers the following benefits for Bachelor of Nursing students:

  • Students can complete authentic assessments and learning activities that are structured in accordance with building skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience relevant to the nursing profession.
  • Students can benefit from the innovative and modern learning technologies which mean that they are given the opportunity to participate in simulated learning activities via residential schools at a nominated Clinical Learning Centre at one of the CQUniversity accredited delivery sites.
  • The University provides students with plenty of opportunities to connect with their profession through 800 hours of professional practice placements, divided into a total of 6 placements throughout the duration of the course.

The Bachelor of Nursing graduates are equipped with career preparation tools such as e-portfolio to showcase their abilities to potential employers, thus facilitating career planning during the course of study and upon graduation. Some of the career paths for graduates include:

Requirements, intake dates, and location

English Requirement:

  • IELTS score of overall 7 with no band less than 7 or equivalent
  • TOEFL (Internet Based Test) – 94 or better overall and no score less than 24 for listening and reading, 27 for writing, and 23 for speaking
  • PTE score of overall 65 with no sub-score less than 65

Intake: Trimester 1, Trimester 2 

Location: Rockhampton and Online

The 2021 indicative annual fee is AUD 31,740.

The International Student Scholarship (ISS) is available to all new international vocational, research, full degree and packaged academic coursework students who meet the academic criteria at CQUniversity Australia.
